Dolly's Day

CURVE

Becky, Mike and Astrid would usually have headed south back home to Sussex as early as possible --- however today that didn't happen as Mike had work to do this morning. So Becky, Astrid and me went out around 9.30am and left Mike in peace to get on with his work.

First we walked to the Hermitage Garden.  After a quick tour outdoors we went to the cafe.  It wasn't very busy. We had coffee and some sweet treats.  I chose a biscoff brookie.  I hadn't heard of a brookie before but I Googled to find that its a combination of a brownie and a cookie.  It was delicious.

Next we went to the library.  Becky wanted to take a look " for old times sake " as when she lived here she spent a lot of time in the library. She was surprised to find that it hadn't changed a bit.  Astrid wanted a Peppa Pig story so we found a suitable book and I read it to her. Next we went to the park where Astrid had fun in the playground.  See Extra collages.

My blip shot was taken in the park.  I didn't take it to fit the Mono Monday theme of " Curve " but realised later that it would be suitable.  Thanks to JacZero for hosting.

After the park we went home.  Mike was still working so we just pottered around ( quietly ) until he had finished.  Then it was time for them to pack the car and head off home.  Sad to see them go ... the house has been so quiet since they left. ( They left here around  1.30pm and didn't get home until 8.30pm )

I sorted out the bedding, used towels etc and moved my stuff back into my own bedroom. I sat down in the armchair for a rest and fell asleep for a couple of hours.  Think I need a good nights sleep and a quiet day tomorrow.

The weather was lovely today - really warm and sunny ... which was nice ..... but it would have been better if yesterday had been the same when we had the half marathon and BBQ.

Steps today - 10,184
