Susan’s latest painting

It’s been quite a while since Susan completed another painting. This one has been long in the making too as the last year or so has been very challenging as you know.

The painting captures the many aspects of our lives together and is a fitting memento of what we like and do. I love it.

You were spared another Marmite Ukulele Band blip. We played at Roast at the Ritz, a private function raising funds for a local church. In return for our efforts we and our spouses were rewarded with a roast beef Sunday lunch.

Fortunately the weather was kind and the event seemed to be enjoyed by all who attended. We even had some audience participation towards the end with song that the age profile knew and loved.

I couldn’t watch the England v Spain game. I’m never very good at watching these tense, high stake games whatever the sport. I feel I jinx the team. I was instructed by the family not to watch. It made no difference.

Thwarted again at the death. England just can’t get over the line. I remember 1966, will I ever see a victorious England team in my lifetime?
