Border

I thought long and hard about todays blip and there were literally dozens of stunning views as we visited Cavaglia Glacier Garden today which had everything you could want - amazing views, interesting geology and gorgeous alpine flowers and plants but instead I chose this slightly shabby looking ruin. We came across it on our evening walk and with a bit of deduction realised that this was a for Border post. Long before the modern road existed. So we happily wandered into Italy and meandered back along the river, pausing to sample some plums which were growing beside the road. Delicious plums at that. This ruin though really caught our imagination and I loved the wee bit of archaeology.
