The Pensioner

Peppa and Pal

Since arriving back I’ve been irked that one of the veggie beds isn’t quite level. It offends the eye. My eye actually, well both of them, and that’s important to me, so I set about fixing it, and one thing led to another and before long it was time to get washed and head off to the daughter's to assist her with her shopping at Asda. It being pension day, I picked up some essentials like cherries.
The SK had been down to Smeaton to meet her chum R and when she arrived back we were able to sit out in the summer sun before she made a fabulous Friday night meal. Fabulous.
In the big world, the election of Starmer seems to have quietly settled things here, but over in the States Biden’s continual gaffes are beginning to be questioned. He called Zelensky President Putin, which was a bit embarrassing. But hey, I call the SK my daughter’s name and the granddaughter her mother’s name. But then I don’t have my finger on the nuclear button. That could be because I’ve mislaid it, mind.
