Hamming it up ..

Inside the Empire State Building.
All my children and my nephews and nieces are up for anything. No one cares there is a massive queue standing watching our shenanigans. I’ve never given a toss what anyone thinks either … for me it’s all about the happiness, I can’t help it if someone else does not find our fun acceptable, that’s their problem not mine . There are some truly grumpy people in this world and it must be horrible living in those heads of theirs .

The itinerary of the day was
1. Madame Tussauds … now I happen to LOVE a creepy wax work but I wasn’t sure what the ferals would make of it … THEY LOVED IT ! . Best one I’ve ever been to was San Francisco but this NYC is very good and had a slight update from when we were here in 2019.
2. A very slow walk to the Empire State Building, it’s even hotter than yesterday and more humid … up the lifts to the different observation decks . Now I did enjoy it but I have to say that for observation decks the Rockerfella centre is much better and then you can take photos of the Empire State whilst you are there as it’s visually more appealing.
3. VERY slow walk to collect bikes for the cycling around Central Park . It’s 7 miles around the main park and Jim, Ollie , Joe and me did the whole lap , hills and all …. My god it was an effort !!! Moonie joined us with Emily for a 1 mile loop because 7 was just too much as Emily has only just learned to ride without stabilisers.
4.Took the bikes back and walked 20 minutes into the park to see Strawberry Fields… underwhelming to say the least . It’s got rubbish bins overflowing and a bit of mosaic in the floor saying ‘Imagine’ … it’s a very ordinary bit of woodland … well at least I’ve ticked a spot John Lennon looked at off my list . It wasn’t my idea it was Moonies , I’m indifferent to John Lennon .
5. Back to our favourite diner before being back in the room by 8.15 pm !!!
