Lazing On A Log

I don't often see ducks sitting on a log, let alone resting. Must be the heat. Looks like two male mallard and two female. They look a bit plump. Even so, I gave them a wide berth, knowing they are easily scared.

Extra: Brief Stop. Non-breeding male American goldfinch, fleeting stop to take the lie of the land.
