At Long Last

We thought Parker’s first game was at 9:00 so we got up and ready to leave home by 7:30. Turns out it was at 9:50 but we got a decent parking spot by being early. They played four games, won four games and took home the championship jersey. The boys played hard in 85°F heat with 80% humidity. We were all hot and sweaty. But it was worth it in the end. Parker scored three goals and had several assists. This was his first time playing the attack position for two years. We were pleased with his grit. Hubby had to leave early because he had a Knight’s event this afternoon. Renee brought me home. I saw this happy zinnia in a planter. It reflects our mood. Then I headed straight to the shower as I am sure Parker did as well. The boys played hard but also played with class. It was a great day for everyone. I hope yours was as well. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “A true champion is one who sweats from exhaustion when no one is watching.” - Bas Rutten
