Just a sample

… a single example of the wonderful colours in the beds behind the massive hedge in the Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh. I thought I’d let this one glow on its own rather than have another collage. I’m glowing a bit too after a day that felt - and looked - like summer; I wanted to take my shoes off and run through the grass but thought I might make an exhibition of myself…

That was the afternoon; we finished it off with a flying visit to #1 son to return a wee dish from this week’s goody bag and wish them happy holiday, came back for a rest and an apero and had our dinner over on the harbour in the recently-opened Pier House Restaurant in the building formerly occupied by Loch Fyne Restaurant. Lovely fish & Chips; charming but slightly flailing service as they don’t have enough staff to cope with sunny evenings when people sit outside as well as indoors.

Remind me never to open a restaurant…
