Nora Batty's bloomers

Into Holmfirth first thing to meet John and Marina at the Wrinkled Stocking café for a sociable late breakfast/early brunch. The café walls are covered with photos and pictures of characters from The Last of the Summer Wine, and this bunting of 'bloomers' hangs across the ceiling. 

After that, MrM and I walked to the Civic Hall to look round the main exhibition of Holmfirth Art Week. MrM didn't come last year, and I think he was surprised at the number of exhibits - paintings, photos, pottery... Some fabulous artwork! We're planning to go back again some time this week, as it's impossible to take it all in during one visit. Then there are the numerous Fringe venues with even more art on display...

Next on the cards a quick shop in Aldi, before driving home.
