Skimmer

While out filling bird feeders I noticed this male blue skimmer dragonfly perched on a branch hunting prey. I was pleased he was still engaged when I returned with my camera. Unbelievably they consume hundreds of insects per day. They’re certainly enjoying the recent rainstorms and humidity, as they prefer wet conditions. More on the way this afternoon and evening • We sorted through more books today setting aside those we’re ready to part with and donate. I also started organizing my retirement, medicare and social security information. I can’t avoid it any longer! Once I’m done I’ll have everything labeled and filed, hopefully within the week • A G&T may be needed soon to celebrate today’s accomplishments, LoL • Peace & Love
