Another American Painted Lady Butterfly but this time on lavender :) She was in good company as lots of bumblebees joined in the animated nectar dance • Another hot humid summer day so we got up and out early. MrsP weeded in the garden while I mowed the lawn. Some raking and deadheading got done too before we called it quits at noon. We’ll be at it again tomorrow morning • I held off on watering the garden because thunderstorms are predicted for this afternoon and evening. If not, watering will be the first thing I do tomorrow • The birds are singing but most are keeping to the trees. The hummer’s been incognito too.
