Amber Nectar

Bathed in warm sunshine, an eastern amberwing dragonfly landed on the rock near me. Tricky to isolate the dragonfly because it has a similar colouring to the rock. At this angle I got the detail in the wings and they were set against the dark water behind.

Extra: Canoodling. A pair of northern flicker woodpeckers put on a display for me. Almost a dance performance, with sound effects. Wish I'd recorded it now.
