Bird's Eye View

Went for a walk after the rain finished. Damp smell and squishy underfoot. Not much happening until I saw the heron fly high up into the top of the willow tree. After repositioning from another branch, s/he settled on this one and didn't budge for a long time.

An overcast sky allowed for a clear view with little contrast. It's great to be able to see the detail of the feathers.
