Hill Top Ramblings

Blackbirds

Our garden suffers from a variety of raspberry eating pests. These include Bonnie, who loves to nibble them off. A roe deer, who strips whole branches. Mr and Mrs Blackbird, who claim to have a houseful of hungry mouths to feed.
However, they happen to also be mine and Rob’s favourite fruit. This year it looks like there might be a whole bowlful ripening up, so I decided that it would be worth trying to net them.
And amazing results, overnight some ripe ones have appeared where previously there were only nibbled hulls!
Now I wonder if the strawberries will oblige too?
