Sunflowers

In preparation for our "meet the neighbours" weekend we bought a couple of bunches of flowers, to prettify the house.  One being a rather nice bunch of sunflowers.  Our visitors all arrived bearing generous gifts.  By the end of Saturday we had another two bunches to accommodate and I was worried I might run out of vases on Sunday.  Fortunately, the Sunday gifts were less floral, more edible.

We've had a very lazy Monday.  Though I did stir myself to "decoke" the coffee machine, which was starting to run rather slowly.  Then in the evening, when I was flagging badly, W had a sudden burst of energy, and not only set up the bread machine to run overnight (essential as we were almost out of bread) but also cooked two loaves of soda bread.
