Rudbeckia

These rudbeckia are growing in some rocks beside a parking lot. In the early spring I tell the workers not to touch the rocks. Later I tell them to leave the fuzzy leafed plants that are growing there. We are rewarded with a mass of yellow flowers. Because they are growing in the rocks, it is difficult to move them in the spring.
We started work at 8 am today, to try to get some things done before the humidity and heat got too bad. We finished around 12:30, although St said she would stay and do some more weeding here at my place, since the area that needed to be done was in the shade.
The phone calls and emails just don't stop coming. A new email request for a quote this morning. A phone call request for a quote this morning. Plus one of the neighbors where we were working today came over to ask me to come and give him a quote for regular maintenance of his garden. Last night a customer that I used to work for a couple of years ago, he called me and wants us to come over to spread some mulch at his place. Plus I have 2 other quotes from last week to email to customers.
The heat warning is still in place for tomorrow. Now the forecasters are saying that the remnants of Hurricane Beryl could affect us on Thursday. No wind, but lots of rain. We shall wait and see what happens. It's possible it could only affect Northern New Brunswick into PEI and Cape Breton. I'm sure the valley doesn't want more rain after the 6 inches they received on Saturday.
