The lure of morning
light is irresistible -
It feels like magic!

I was parking my car in Riverside Park near the arena just before 6. There is still a great deal of construction in this part of the city so I knew it was best to get here early and head home as soon as possible.

I'm always surprised by who I find out and about when I am. This morning a young man and a child were already on the pier before I got moving down the Rivers Trail.

I see the 'carpet' has been rolled out on the beach again for those needing wheels. It gives people a chance to get down to the shore without bogging down in the sand.

I was surprised to find a number of children's toys left on the sand. Did they forget them?

I stood in front of the pillars that mark previous water levels. I was here for the 1999 year of flooding. The rivers really filled up the park that summer.

I got a shot of the railway bridge and my mountains while squinting against the sun.

My last wide angle shot is of the confluence and Batchelor Hills in the background. My house is somewhere up on that hillside.

We hit a temperature high yesterday of just over 38 C. Looks like we could have another record today. I will be inside enjoying my A/C with my feet up.
