Our no-mow policy has given us 3 orchids this year, the 3rd is a distance from these 2, so it won't be getting cut back for a while yet.
Today started out bright but became showery in the afternoon, one shower being very heavy but brief.
It was Cafe Church this morning and we did some crafts to illustrate praisng God throughout the day, a reminder this should be done and an opportunity to share together.
The afternoon plan was to watch some of the Tour and then try a run/walk but other events intervened. I did watch most of the Tour stage, it was much more fun that some of the standard ones, but things were interrupted by a call for help. A friend was driving home when she suffered a blow-out puncture (and a slower one in another tyre) and the RAC said it would be some hours before they could get there. Mr Rat rescued her and took her home and I went out later to pick her up to be back at the car when the breakdown man arrived. We then had to follow him down to the garage where the car was to be left and then I took her home.
She got quite a scare but it was one of those unpredictable things, the breakdown man said he thought it was probably glass on the road that caused it.
As a result of this I didn't go out for a run or a walk - only far enough to take the pic (i.e. a few steps from the front door).
