Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Pleased to see that the UK’s new PM has visited Edinburgh for talks with both Swinney and Sarwar. Good. The last few (Tory) PMs have been afraid to come here, mainly because of the open hostility displayed by our former leader, Ms Sturgeon. It makes much more sense if all the devolved governments work together, perhaps then something can be done to improve everything!

The day was sunny, and yes - warmish. We were due over to visit Hazel in the afternoon, and we were able to sit out in the sunshine. We bring our own chair and wine glass holders. They’ve had a fairly good workout despite the poor summer weather.

I returned home before JR to take Archie out, but the Raducanu match was just starting, so Archie agreed to wait. In fact, he was still waiting patiently when JR came home an hour or so later, as it turned into a three-setter, and she took him out on a beautiful evening.

On our morning walk, Archie noticed this wee creature by someone’s gate. Cute.
