Unexpected visit

 It was a sunny morning for coffee with the Merry Widows and it stayed sunny  long enough for me to sit outside after lunch.Then came a phone call from a Stromness Selkie, home from holiday and staying with her Daughter in Edinburgh who  thought she would walk along to see me with baby granddaughter Eva. The sun  of course then disappeared and drops of rain fell on the patio. We convened indoors and Eva entertained us royally,  even going as far as charming me with a smile but not for the blip. She has grown so much since I last saw her and now has 7 teeth, all the better for demolishing a plum and giving her white T-shirt a purple make over.
As they left, the sun appeared once more…..too late!
