Dolly's Day

ASTRANTIA

I stayed up late to watch the election coverage.  Labour won again in my constituency -  but we have a different MP due to boundary changes. I was surprised to see that the turnout was only 57%.  So many people not bothering to vote. Very disappointing.

I walked down to the village this afternoon to catch the once an hour bus to go to Neils.  It came on time.  Neil was having one of his busy work days so I kept Luna company for a couple of hours.  I saw Neil for about 5 mins ... we talked fast.

Then I got a bus to Lidl.  Then a bus to the Metrocentre  - no shopping I got straight on another bus home.  So many buses.

A parcel had been delivered while I was out and my neighbour Deb had taken it in so I went round to collect it and we had a bit of a catch up.  Sorted out my shopping and I was about to cook my meal at 6.30pm when I realised I had no blip shot.  So I popped into the back garden to see which flower I could blip.  I chose these Astrantia.  It was quite windy so the shot isn't as sharp as it should be.  Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday.

Watched some of the France v Portugal Euro 2024 match this evening. It was 0 -0 at full time.  No goals scored in extra time  so it went to a penalty shoot out which France won.  Looking forward to the England match tomorrow .  They play Switzerland.

Weather today was dry and windy.

Steps today - 6,609
