An early morning to go and hand in my postal vote since I got it too late to post it, then headed down to the station. Had a phone call on the way from the local pharmacy saying they’d found my driving licence on the street….must have dropped it coming out of the polling booth. Thank goodness they found it rather than it getting lost or stolen…I must take them in some thank you chocolates tomorrow when I collect it!
Over to Glasgow and straight into photos etc for the first of three graduation ceremonies. A joyful day for graduates and parents alike….lots of very excited young people, overly high heels, flowers, canapés and fizz, whooping and happy tears. I enjoyed meeting the honorary graduates, staff and some parents between the ceremonies and also a lovely lunch chatting about film music, football and Singapore. The mace bearer was as always looking very much the part!
I managed to catch a timely train home and finished listening to the book for book group…I’ve enjoyed immersing myself in the post Culloden period, especially since I’d visited there earlier this year.
Had some supper and did yet more laundry and making up a bed for I&S who are arriving in the middle of the night for I’s graduation this weekend. Slightly worried how I’m going to prepare to go away again next week, prep the house for two lots of guests, do a couple of reviews that I need to do, finalise next year’s trip arrangements, make supper for CB whilst also going to the dentist and an afternoon meeting tomorrow…..eek!
I’m not going to stay up all night but was mightily relieved to see the exit poll….I’ll see if it holds up when I wake up!
