Evening Over the Village

We were up early to vote before Tony had his appointment and I walked down to Bingley to catch the train to my recorder lesson in Saltaire.

On my return I met Tony at Specsavers and we had cuppas at The Craft Cafe before walking home in the blustery sunshine.

After lunch we took our gardening stuff up Keighley Road to trim back the overgrown plants, nettles and brambles which had strayed on to the pavement and were causing an obstruction for folks walking up to the Estate.  This used to be kept clear by the Council but I guess their income has to quite rightly go on more important things now.

I wonder how long we will be able to stay awake tonight?!
