Curlew on the Black Isle
Went birdwatching at Udale Bay this afternoon, where there is a RSPB hide, near Cromarty on the Black Isle. Tide was well out over the mudflats and we watched this curlew prodding around in the mud for a while. The extras are another shot of the curlew, a red-breasted merganser mum with her brood of chicks and a pair of shelducks with their family in tow.
