A perfect rose - should have been a red one

Unsurprisingly I felt very tired this morning - it’s been a busy trip - I need a holiday!

Mr C got on with clearing things up in the garden and I dead-headed roses between putting washing out and bringing it in. But I spent most of the day working on my Blurb book of the Baltic States as a busy time is coming up - and the Campbell year book as well as the Balkans still need doing!

The daughters wondered if I’d gone up to the moor where I usually walk as Danny Boyle is filming there with Jodie Cromer. People have been posting photos of her and the boy who got the part Nathaniel had the audition for (for which he hadn’t got the Northumbrian accent required). I didn’t go up as I’m not that bothered about seeing celebs and from what Nathaniel has said filming is a bit boring and repetitive. (Now he’s acted on stage!)

I’m so scared about the election. People must not take it as a done deal - they must get out and vote. I just daren’t build up my hope. I don’t know why I don’t have the same optimism I had in 1997. Is it an age thing? But my daughters feel the same. We can’t believe there isn’t yet another Tory plot!
