Pond life

A drizzle-filled morning meant a change of plans. Rather than grass cutting I decided to clean the ponds of weed, which meant close encounters with various water beetles, dragonfly nymphs, newts and frogs. When the weather dried up in the afternoon I harvested the garlic that the previous owners had planted. For some reason they had planted the garlic bulbs into a long bed of lupins.
