a lifetime burning

Pest

I'm not a fan of this invasive species - but it's been a busy day and I've not done much photography.  This particular grey squirrel doesn't seem to be doing too much harm, although earlier in the year (when it was wetter and the ground was softer) it left a trail of holes across our lawn where it buried/looked for its nuts.

I met up with my former work colleagues work for lunch today.  There were 6 of us, 4 of whom are still working. The workers have just moved into a new office building and I was give a quick tour of the more public, less sensitive areas.  They would have needed me to sign non disclosure agreements if I had gone into the working area, lest I see details of any of the projects they are currently working on.  But as it was, I was able to stand at the glass wall and look in at the work area, and a number of people came and said hello which was great.  It's over 4 years since I retired, so it's nice to be remembered.  They seem to be doing well which is great.

Lunch was full of gentle banter and good humour - and most enjoyable.
