A dull damp start to the day and the weather forecast gave little indication of an improvement.

With today being a blip milestone I wanted to try and find something different without travelling too far or risk getting soaked.

Fell Foot at the south end of Windermere seemed like a good idea. Free parking with my NTS sticker, a cafe, short lakeside walk and wildflower meadow. Surprisingly there was no rain there.

I liked the dog on the paddleboard and there were swimmers too. I’m happier on land. There’s a selection of other photos in the extra.
