An early start. First to the polling station then a drive to Waterhead.
From there a walk along to Galava field to collect rushes for Saturday’s Rushbearing. One problem . . . the tops of many had been nibbled, I assume by the cows. I picked some of the best ones before moving into the next field where the cows don’t graze.
Back on the prom I thought the flower displays outside the Windermere Lake Cruise office would make a colourful blip.
Then home for breakfast and laundry. Mid morning I was chilly so put the heating on for an hour. Hard to believe it’s July. Shopping then Wimbledon on television in the afternoon.
Huge thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts on my 4,000th blip yesterday. I see there’s another big day in two weeks!
