Bargain Baskets.........

.............of Petunias were offered some weeks ago because the labels had been lost! Several baskets were on offer at £4.50 due to the fact that it was impossible to know what colour would develop! This is one of the three I bought - am not sure I would have actually chosen this colour but it surely has produced a startling display and continues to improve each day - and the flowers have an amazing perfume especially in the evening. I don't think my £4.50 was wasted! (a little more deadheading required - have missed a few I see!)

Anni's flight home was cancelled for some reason or other so she was ensconced in a 5* hotel overnight courtesy of British Airways! Hopefully, she will now arrive home on Friday morning.

Started off very grey and dull but as I look out of the window now, (9.05 am) the sun is trying to break through and the temperature is around 55 deg.F
