Tin Tabernacles of 2024 #14

Hallmuir Ukrainian PoW Chapel in Lockerbie. You can read the history here. In the past couple of years it's had an additional pressing purpose. It was locked but I managed a photo of the interior - see extra. It's comparable to the famous Italian Chapel in Orkney but much less well known.

We slept well last night and have just completed a 6 mile walk to the Eskrigg Nature Reserve. Another really lovely spot. Lots of birds, butterflies, wildflowers, a toad  and proximity to a tin tabernacle.

Soon we'll be braving the M74 home. This evening I have a lovely social event to look forward to. I'll need to change my walking clothes for something smarter.
