Large Red Damselfly

Went out to Flanders Moss today. It's such an important  and interesting place. There's always so much to see. My blip is a damselfly - a male I think. The extra is a meadow brown butterfly. The watery parts of the moss were crowded with damselflies and dragonflies. Beautiful jewel colours. Moths, butterflies, skylarks, stonechats and a kestrel were all in evidence. What a lovely walk. It's not as windy as it was yesterday though there's still a breeze to keep the air moving. I'm so glad we aren't in the overheated south.

An afternoon for the garden I think with a visit from our daughter and a zoom with my sister.
