Louth Church - with young perigrine falcons
We went on a lovely hilly walk in Hubbard's Hill Country Park. It is a steep valley formed by a glacier with a river at the bottom with several bridges and stepping stones to cross it. There are a variety of deciduous trees covering the slopes and lots of benches to catch our breath.
From there we walked to the market town of Louth heading for the tall, distinctive spire. When we reached it we were able to view the perigrine falcon chicks on their ledge, as there was a camera set up to view the young. We could also hear them being fed as they made a lot of noise when the parents arrived with food.
Louth market town had many other delights including a traditional butchers, baker, grocer and haberdashery. Also several tea shops to choose from.
