Mablethorpe sand dunes

A relaxed start to the morning with breakfast on the veranda and squirel watching. They are delightful and enjoyed the nuts which we bought as a treat.

Then a drive to Mablethorpe where we walked along the seafront promenade before returning to the car for a lovely fish finger sandwich from the cafe. Then we walked the short distance to the beach where we settled in the sand dunes. G read and I went for a swim in the NorthSea; first sea swim this year in the UK. It was beautiful warm water with virtually no waves, so I had to go out a fair distance to find deep water. After I enjoyed relaxing in the dunes with my book.
