Fab row from the quay to Mersea

Morning in the garden ... then a fabulous 20k row all the way from the quay to Mersea.  A good strong wind and tide in our favour sped us along and kept us cool. Conditions were perfect.  6 on board, so we rotated every 20 mins to give us all a break every 40 mins. It worked out perfectly.  We left Northey and Osea to our port, raced past Marconi before negotiating the sandbanks and entering the Mersea estuary. Moored up on the jetty ready for the other rowers to return the boat on Sunday. A cider and chat in the sailing club ended a perfect day.
