Sweet Peas

It's been a scorcher of a day, but before it got too hot, I photographed my first sweet pea flowers of the year.
Then it was off to Uke class, followed by Pilates class.
This  afternoon, we visited M, a longstanding member of our RSPB group.
Martin presented him with a badge of an osprey to mark his twenty years of volunteering. M is nearly 90, and has had an interesting life. In the 1960s and 70s he  was a Purser on the Union Castle line ships working out of Southampton, which took mail and passengers to and from South Africa, as well as bringing back gold. Today we heard just a few of his stories! I think he was keen to get back to watching tennis on the TV( Emma Raducanu was playing!)
Soon we'll be off to the monthly Winchester Uke Jam.
