Indolence

Attractive seating outside Vittoria’s Italian Restaurant and ice cream parlour on GeorgeIV Bridge but everybody sitting indoors on this damp misty morning.  Thanks to an east wind it was a gloomy and dull start to the day while it seemed the rest of the UK seemed to be sizzling under blue skies.  Finally, at lunch time the mist burned off and blue sky heralded some much wanted heat and sunshine. 

I have had a very inactive day so far, visiting the library when it was dreich and depressing to sitting outside with my book and crossword when the sun tempted me on to the patio. When the weather is so variable I feel the urge to soak up the sunshine while I can- that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
