View from the Prom

With daughter #1’s heart not being into another dip this week in the murky waters of Porty (she has Cullen Bay Standards ), I did a solo run this morning and caught the early high tide again which was lovely - a calm sea, less far to walk for immersion and deep water closer to shore.
I was home and dry by 7:45 am, with lots of time to rinse myself and my gear and be ready for coffee at 9am.

My blip shows the ominous looking cloud  over East Lothian  which miraculously disappeared to give me sunshine for my swim, always a bonus as was the warmth and the lack of wind. However, by the time lunch time came the sunshine had gone, the wind had risen and there was a shower of rain. It seems the central portion of the UK is getting all the worst of the weather this so called summer. The north of Scotland and the south of England appear in the weather maps to be clear more often than not of the bands of bad weather sweeping across the country.
