Balloon Flower
We were up early. I wanted to pick blueberries before the sun was too high. We got a nice box of berries. Plus these balloon flowers in the back of the formal caught my eye. We had several texts from Lauren. Isla had another seizure last night. This time, Lauren called the ambulance. The ER doctor decided she needed to be tested at Children’s Hospital in DC. Lauren and Isla had their first ride in a helicopter this morning. Jamie was in Baltimore. He met them at Children’s. We offered to watch River so Billy could get to the hospital. Kim volunteered to take hubby to the cardiologist. It was like musical chairs, everyone changing plans to accommodate those in need. Billy’s mom was off so she took River, leaving me free to go with hubby. Isla had a two-hour EEG. No results yet but they admitted her. She has been so cooperative so far. See extra. We shopped for our camping groceries, made two trips to the base to get my meds and went home for lunch. We went to hubby’s 2:15 appointment. It is almost 5:00 and we haven’t gotten back home yet. But I am delighted hubby agreed to go. His EKG showed he has AFIB. They prescribed Eliquis, increased his Toprol and placed a heart monitor on his chest for two weeks. That will give them data for the next step. We are cleared to go camping. Otherwise, Brooklyn and Parker would have had to find transportation to PA. So, I hope to be able to “start” my pre-camping jobs after dinner vs after breakfast. But, Isla and hubby are more important than cooking and packing the camper. I hope your day was much calmer. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “We must be willing to let go of the life (day) we planned so as to have the life (day) that is waiting for us." – Joseph Campbelly
