Emperor Dragonfly
I was in town first thing for a haircut, and then I went over to Natural Surroundings as it's been a gloriously sunny and hot day and I wanted to see if the Emperor Dragonflies were around. There were so many dragonflies around, trying to protect their territory on the pond, and in chasing each other off they nearly flew into me several times. This is an emperor dragonfly laying eggs, they're know as Britain's bulkiest dragonfly. It was so hot and sunny that I didn't stay long, I got some photos, walked down to the river and back, then left after 45 mins. I've added an extra collage of another emperor and a four spotted chaser against a nice colourful background. This afternoon I watched two good matches at Eastbourne, Emma Raducanu played very well and with lots of confidence and Katie Boulter won too. Late afternoon I sat out reading, but it was still very hot.
