Flowers of Tan
The spaniel and I went for a walk in the woods where it was a bit cooler and found this vibrant yellow slime mould on the remains of a fallen oak tree. I'm pretty sure that its Fuligo septica, also known as Scrambled egg slime mould, flowers of tan and, less salubriously, dog vomit slime mould. I couldn't get any closer than this because the tree trunk was surrounded by a dense forest of chest high stinging nettles.
