It was a long drive back, but we shared it. I ended up on my shift navigating Newcastle at midnight. The A1 diversion took us off then back on. We then swapped and Jon drove to Blythe services where at 2.30am we had coffee and cake to try and wake up a bit! I took over, and drove to an hour from home, but the sun was up by then and I couldn’t see the road, so Jon took over just after King’s Lynn. We got home at 6am. I was sneezing a lot, thinking it was bad hayfever. We went to bed and I eventually fell asleep and got about 3 hours sleep.

The weather was hot and my garden and pots needed water, so I did that then we went to Lidl.

When Henry got home from work, we gave him a watch we had bought him as a congratulations present for completing his apprenticeship. It wasn’t a surprise getting a watch, but we chose it and he was happy.

Mollie popped in at which point I realised my streaming eyes and nose was a cold not hayfever. I cooked dinner and now need my bed. Hoping the cold and flu tablets I’ve taken are going to help, because I really can’t afford a day off sick, but the way I feel now I won’t be working!

Very annoying.
