Fantastic Beastie!

Today was summer, the temperature reached over 25 this afternoon, what a joy.
On my way out of church this morning I spotted this curious object on a nettle plant. I've no idea what it is, it seems to be some sort of growth or deformity on the stem of the nettle but looked remarkably like some form of grub or worm.
We had a lovely afternoon with a friend of Ali's. They haven't seen each other for the best part of 20 years and remarkably have each got two children of more or less the same age. It was so nice to be there as they caught up and renewed their friendship.
.... and I watched the football.
