Books and another ....

Castle.

Alnwick where we went today but spent most of the time in the amazing Barter Bookshop which has taken over the whole of the old station building.  It's fabulous with literally thousands of secondhand books to browse whilst a model railway runs over your heads. We had tea, coffee and cake in one of the beautifully renovated waiting rooms and came away  with a Kate Morton novel, 'The Secret Keeper' for me and a David Baldacci novel for Mr HB.

We were too late to get into Alnwick Castle but got a good view of it on the way back to 'Matilda'.
