Summer is Upon Us- slightly late.

It is possible to walk into the centre of Edinburgh without being impeded by human stravaigers on  the streets but only if you are prepared to do it at 5:30am. I managed to get all the way to North Bridge only seeing two joggers, a street cleaner and two cars. The trouble is, there is nothing open at that ungodly hour.
The seagulls had been having a field day with the plastic bags of waste food left outside the restaurants  so the cleaner had his work cut out for him.

I was on my way to catch the tide at Porty with Daughter#1 before bussing  to McDonald’s for coffee and an Egg McMuffin. That girl is leading me astray considering I had never been inside a McDonald’s until she came back to live in Edinburgh.

This has probably been the hottest day of the summer so far. Blue sky, heat and  the Meadows carpeted with sun lovers while I sit partly in the shade watching the scene unfold on the other side of the railings.
