Could This be Summer?

There were three tasks awaiting the arrival of David and Luca today, fresh from their holiday in Budapest. I don’t like calling for help from the family unless it’s really necessary but turning the mattress and lopping off new growth high up on on the Boston Ivy was earmarked for David while I thought  Luca with her small fingers would be able to change two of the tricky little ceiling lights so beloved of architects . In the end David did all three tasks although there must be a wiring problem with the adjacent ceiling lights because they still don’t work.

Whilst I had only expected David and Luca  this afternoon,  daughters # 2&3 rolled up on bikes so we had a bit of a tea party. Given that I had met up with daughter#1 this morning, I feel I am almost up to date with family news.

Summer is advertised as being here today and it is certainly18°, but the sun comes and goes and there is quite a breeze. Still, mustn’t complain, it’s definitely an improvement.

I thought the colourful Astrantia in the tubs along Nightingale Way deserved a blip.
