The Pensioner

Slow work

Time to get sawing that timber and make these veggie beds. Two veggie beds, though I only got one completed before it was time to jump in the car with the SK and F and head to Ravelston for her aunt’s 98th birthday. And we’d organised it to meet up with her son, straight off the tennis or paddle ball court or golf course. Well, he was formerly a PE teacher so he does that sort of stuff.
And an evening out for F. As she's a keen vegetarian, we’ve been sensitive to her feelings by not butchering a goat in the back yard in her presence. As you can imagine, Friday evening’s repas was a bit full on. A robust red really doesn’t pair with haloumi and salad. That's just the way it is.
