View Through The Foliage

Slowly but surely, our garden is recovering from the disasters caused by the removal of the two oak trees.

This is the time of year for growth spurts of all types of greenery including plants in the wrong place; weeds. There is a lot of handwork to be done.

The grass is also growing very quickly. Despite this growth our part of Scotland continues to be colder than other areas and our energy usage is higher than last year.

The stems next to the garden wall in the thumbnail are of a young lilac bush growing quite vigorously.

Not so far away is a mature lilac tree that I will soon have to remove.
