La Garrotxa

We had some more time to explore the region this morning and decided to try a walk to a local waterfall. The path was blocked by a barrier with a notice threatening fines. I tried to find another way to the waterfall without success, but when I came back to the barrier, a car came along and said that access was only denied to vehicles not to walkers. That was good news and we then did a loop of a few kilometres, taking in the waterfall and some beautiful woodland scenery. We moved on to one of the best preserved medieval villages in the area before travelling on further west near to where we will cross over into France tomorrow.
