It's a glorious
morning with temperatures up -
happy summer time!

I was on my way across the Overlander Bridge at 6:30 and on my way to Riverside Park in the downtown. I was sad to see a dead marmot squashed on the bridge in the middle of the four lanes.

I parked by Heritage House to walk down to the pier. Three security guards were there as I arrived. The park is well tended in all aspects.

From the pier I took a wide angle shot of the Overlander Bridge looking west and the confluence looking north. I looked into the glare of the morning sun looking east to the railway bridge and gave up on that one.

I walked a short distance along the RIvers Trail going east. I'd seen a couple of Canada geese families tucked on the shore line. As I approached them the lawnmower made a pass in the park. The noise scared the geese so they fled into the river. I waited for a few minutes for them to reorganize themselves. They stretched themselves parallel to the shore and I got a shot for posterity.

It's the first day of summer. The temperatures are beginning to reflect that. Tomorrow could be warmer.

I have to be at the office this morning and then it's back to the paperwork. I will enjoy the good weather from my chair.
